With his unique talent on the violin he excels at everything from traditional fiddle tunes, classical arrangements, to original compositions. Thomas has a dozen solo records to his name, as well as countless collaboration’s with the likes of Grammy award winning violinist Mark O’Connor to Mychael John Thomas of RCA Records Nashville.
Thomas is a product of rigorous training from the Suzuki Institute Mid-Southwest under the instruction of Alize Joy Lewis. He is certified in Suzuki and O’Connor methods and currently instructs students in Essential Elements and other mainstream orchestral methods. He has studied classical masterclasses with Brian Lewis, professor of violin at The University of Texas at Austin.
Thomas is currently an acting teacher in resident in several music camps and clinics across North America where he instructs students in improvisation, composition and creativity. Thomas is the author of “The Art of Practice in the Age of Distraction” an academic paper, in addition to over 400 compositions written for violin, guitar, mandolin and orchestra. Thomas strives to be the ultimate guide for students, enabling them with the tools and awareness to take their music and creativity to the highest levels of achievement.
