Reagan Myers, mezzo-soprano, grew up in Livingston Texas, an active participant in band and choir throughout junior high and high school. In her senior year, she began taking voice lessons from Nita Hudson, a lecturer at Stephen F. Austin State University, where she would later begin her undergraduate studies.
Reagan received a Bachelor’s in Music Education and a Master’s in Vocal Performance from Stephen F. Austin State University. Throughout her undergraduate and graduate studies, she was a member of the SFA A Cappella choir, the Madrigal Singers, and performed several roles with the SFA Opera Theatre. In her final year of her graduate studies, she taught private voice lessons to music majors and minors at SFA.
Reagan moved to Austin in the summer of 2019 and accepted a position as Secondary Music Teacher at Jubilee Academies Wells Branch, where she taught drumline, band, jazz band, and choir.
Reagan currently teaches at the Northwest School of music. As a voice teacher, Reagan emphasizes the development of sound vocal technique to access a wide variety of music so that her students are well-equipped to sing any repertoire in any setting.
