Grace Rishell grew up in a musical family and has loved to sing and play the piano since childhood. At the age of 13, Grace began to sing professionally and in 1981 the renowned Eastman School of Music in New York offered her a scholarship to begin her undergraduate studies.
Choosing to stay closer to home, Grace attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia and graduated with a degree in music with a concentration in voice and a minor in organ.
From 2004 to 2010 she taught piano and voice lessons, ranging in age from 4 to 74 at the Vibe Performing Arts in Santa Clarita, Ca.
Currently she is an instructor with the Redeemer School of Performing Arts here in Austin and is very excited to be joining the Northwest School of Music family. Grace has 4 beautiful daughters, loves animals, the outdoors and helping others discover the joy of music. Her favorite quote is, “happiness is not having the things you want but wanting the things you have”.
Grace teaches piano and voice lessons serving Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park and Leander.Back to Classes & Teachers>
