David Price was born in Martinsburg, WV. At the age of 4 he began studying violin and cello privately, taking after his mother, a violin teacher. He took private violin and cello lessons and attended summer music camps and festivals throughout his schooling, and eventually went on to West Virginia University to get Bachelors degree in Violin Performance and Music Education.
David specializes in intermediate and advanced violin and cello lessons, but is equally adept in working with all levels. He taught middle school cello and violin in his hometown of Martinsburg, WV and conducted the Berkeley County High School Orchestra before relocating to Texas to pursue his music career further.
David is also an avid drummer, mainly self-taught as a rock and jazz drum set player. He has formed and played in many rock groups and performed with several jazz big bands and combos. David is also proficient is recording and music technology, having worked with microphones, outboard gear, and recording software.
Today, David teaches viola, violin and cello lessons at the Northwest School of Music for quality music lessons by University trained instructors for guitar lessons, piano lessons, voice lessons, drums, violin, ukulele, flute, clarinet, bass in Austin, Cedar Park, Texas.Back to Classes & Teachers>
