David Pencil began studying music at an early age, becoming proficient in piano, percussion, and voice by the end of his high-school education. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition from Rice University and a Master of Music degree in Music Composition from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
David has also studied film scoring at both the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program and the Aspen Film Scoring Program.
David is an experienced teacher of piano, voice, percussion, music composition, and music theory. While living in Cincinnati, David was a key instructor at the Center for the Arts, teaching private piano and voice lessons. David is also the Music Minister and Choir Director of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in north Austin, and is an active composer for film, games, and new media.
Today, David teaches piano and voice lessons at the Northwest School of Music in Austin, quality music lessons with University trained instructors for guitar lessons, piano lessons, voice lessons, drums, violin, ukulele, flute, clarinet, bass in Austin, Cedar Park, Texas.Back to Classes & Teachers>
