About Nathan Montgomery

Nathan taught his first guitar lesson at age 12 and has been teaching ever since while earning a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Performance from Wayne State University. Nathan has a unique perspective on study and teaching music lessons with over 30 years teaching experience including private instruction, group lessons, ensembles and classroom instruction. Nathan’s students have been from all walks of life ranging from 4 years of age to retired with a wide array of musical interests, personalities, and learning styles. Having taught award winning, scholarship receiving, and internationally touring musicians Nathan’s teaching style addresses the physical, mental, and psychological needs of each student with a goal minded discipline and approach. Nathan’s teaching model draws from inspiration, creates motivation, and promotes action to obtain results.
