Meagan’s passion for music started at age 4 when she began piano lessons and throughout the years when she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Concordia University. A well rounded performer, during her time at Concordia University she expanded her musical pursuits to include cello in instrumental ensembles and singing masterworks with the Concordia University choir, and her graduation recital was performed on piano.
After graduation, Megan blended her love of music with her warm and friendly personality to become a music teacher. Megan loves teaching and believes music is for everyone and in fostering multi-generational music-making. As a music teacher, she enjoys asking students questions that inspire critical thinking and in building musical independence that encourages each student to reach their fullest potential. Meagan has been an active private piano teacher in the Austin area since graduating from Concordia, teaching students at Pflugerville Rock School of Music, and for several other local music schools and programs.
In addition to teaching, Meagan currently plays at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Marble Falls as a pianist, sings in Concordia University’s Masterworks Series through the Concordia Singers, plays cello with the Williamson County Symphony Orchestra and for various special church services. When Meagan isn’t making music or teaching it to others, she’s ice skating or playing with her two cats, Hans and Hugo.
